About this role
Role Overview
Carry out responsibilities such as financial close, reporting & analysis
Coordinate group audits activities and liaise with stakeholders
Manage regional country controllers and co-ordinate with group accounting teams globally
Own monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
Prepare monthly group reporting packs and explain key variances
Assist with P&L analytical review and monthly commentaries
Optimise accuracy and efficiency of close processes
Harness AI for system and process improvements
Present technical accounting matters to leadership
Act as main point of contact between auditors and internal teams
Produce the group cash flow statement and manage allocations model
Develop KPIs and reporting tools
Enhance reporting automation using tools like PowerBI, HFM, OneStream
Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls
Partner with stakeholders across the business
Lead finance transformation and improvement projects
Co-ordinate collaboration across finance and functional teams
Identify and explore opportunities for process improvements
Mentor local finance teams and manage team performances
Requirements
7+ years of experience as a group accountant, controller, or similar environment
Exposure and knowledge of accounting operations/transactions including workflows and processes
Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field and ACA/ACCA qualified with progressive experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP including revenue recognition, lease accounting, foreign exchange, mergers and acquisition, and consolidation
Good working knowledge of US, UK, Europe, and India GAAP (desirable)
Experience with top-tier audit background (desirable)
Experience supporting Finance Transformation initiatives
Strong project management skills and problem-solving capability
Knowledge of Accounting ERP systems and supplementary software for group reporting like Blackline, Oracle, HFM (desirable)
Proficiency in MS Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power PBI (advantageous)
Experience working with multinational corporations and managing teams remotely
Proven written and communication skills, with ability to communicate across professional groups
Fluent in English, with additional language skills desirable
