Design and deploy control systems, including programming and commissioning PLC code
Develop graphical user interfaces
Validate or emulate code functionality before deployment and on-site testing
Troubleshoot PLC code and electrical system functionality during on-site commissioning
Support equipment and system testing to ensure timely project completion
Collaborate with Electrical Engineering resources to define electrical device requirements
Support control network architecture design
Review complex customer standards, specifications, and documentation to determine system requirements
Contribute to cost and resource estimates for complex module development and commissioning activities
Execute software quality processes through module, subsystem, and system-level test procedures
Develop recommendations that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
Five (5) years of work experience in the material handling or a related industry, or three (3) years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree
Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC programming (including GuardLogix) and Siemens TIA Portal programming (including Starter)
Experience with Ethernet/IP network architecture
Experience interpreting electrical schematics and solid understanding of HMI programming
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with project management, engineering teams, installation crews, and external partners
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders
Ability to travel up to 40% annually, including short-term assignments with 10/4 rotations as project needs require
