Understand and adhere to the National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual.

Maintain active status within the agency’s platforms, including learning management systems to complete training that may be directed toward self-improvement, mission-specifics, or Just-In-Time (JIT) training.
Responsible for administering respiratory tests and treatment to clients.
Cleaning and sterilizing respiratory therapy equipment and performing operational maintenance.
Communicate and collaborate with appropriate medical staff (Physician, APP, RN, LVN, or Pharmacy) as needed.
Assist with process improvement in reviewing, writing and updating respiratory protocols and procedures in collaboration with Medical Services Division.
Effectively communicate, consult and interact with the RN Manager/Clinic Director on policy and procedure issues affecting the quality of respiratory services.
Meets patient's goals and needs and provides quality care by conducting pulmonary function tests; assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and by prescription.
Helps patient accomplish treatment plan and supports life by administering inhalants; operating mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
Administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing bronchopulmonary drainage; assisting with breathing exercises; monitoring physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, and blood chemistry changes.
Evaluates effects of respiratory therapy treatment plan by observing, noting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending adjustments and modifications.

Requirements
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Graduation from accredited Respiratory Therapist Program required.
Current certified respiratory therapist (CRT) certificate required.
Cannot be barred from working in any state.
Required – Three (3) years' experience as a respiratory therapist.

ICS 100b – Introduction to Incident Command Systems
ICS 200b – ICS for single resources and Initial Action Incidents
ICS 700a – National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) and Introduction
ICS 800b – National Response Framework, An Introduction
*ICS 300 – Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents (must be completed upon hire)
*ICS 400 – Advanced ICS Command and General Staff – Complex Incidents (must be completed upon hire) * Required to be completed within 3 months of hire or will be terminated due to noncompliance.
