About this role
Role Overview
Develop expert knowledge of Bachem’s portfolio, pipeline, and the global generic API market
Grow your sales territory strategically by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships
Plan and conduct customer visits to build trust and drive collaboration
Prepare and present commercial proposals for complex projects
Lead pricing and contract negotiations to create business value
Manage the full sales process, from quotation through to on-time delivery
Act as the main contact for assigned customers, supported by subject matter experts in regulatory, GMP production, and analytics
Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive communication and support
Maintain accurate records in our CRM and contribute to forecasts and demand planning
Collaborate in market strategy, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional projects
Represent Bachem at international exhibitions to strengthen our brand and explore new business opportunities
Requirements
University degree in chemistry or life sciences
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in BD or technical sales (CDMO/CMO environment)
Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset, results-driven mindset
Excellent problem-solving skills and sound business judgment
Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Fluent in English and/or other languages is a plus
Proficient with MS Office; experience with ERP (SAP) and CRM (Salesforce)
Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%
