About this role
Role Overview
Design and optimize wing configurations and aerodynamic architectures of drones to ensure in-flight performance.
Conduct aero-propulsive analyses and trade-off studies between configurations, geometries, and propulsion systems.
Use CFD simulation tools and integrate aerodynamic models into internal sizing and design processes.
Define, prepare, and participate in test campaigns (wind tunnel, test benches, flight tests) in collaboration with the flight test team.
Analyze and interpret test results, document work, and produce technical reports.
Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and guidance & control software teams, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Requirements
Engineering degree or equivalent in aeronautics, aerodynamics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in aerodynamics, including aircraft design and optimization (drones preferred).
Strong understanding of fixed-wing aircraft flight mechanics and aerodynamic propulsion principles (propellers, engine performance).
Proficiency with a CFD simulation tool and the ability to define, conduct, and analyze tests.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
Desirable skills: CAD, Python programming, piloting experience, knowledge of control systems, and brushless electric motors.
