Role Overview
- Embedded software development
- Design, develop and maintain bare-metal or lightweight RTOS firmware on STM32 microcontrollers
- Implement low-level modules and drivers (GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, DMA, timers), and memory management
- Optimize MCU performance and memory usage
- Flight control
- Implement and maintain flight control laws: stabilization, navigation, motor(s)/actuator(s) control
- State estimation and sensor fusion, Kalman filters and digital filters
- Implement and validate control algorithms including PID
- Testing, validation and integration
- Embedded unit and integration testing
- Target debugging (JTAG/SWD)
- Bench testing and flight testing
- Log analysis and continuous improvement
- Documentation
Requirements
- Master’s degree or engineering degree (Bac+5) with a specialization in embedded systems, electronics or control engineering
- Minimum 4 years’ proven experience in low-level/middleware embedded development, preferably on STM32
- Experience with real-time systems and drones/robotics
- Basic knowledge of control theory and signal processing
- Technical rigor, attention to detail, autonomy and strong analytical skills
- Assets: experience with PX4 / ArduPilot / RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) / HIL / SIL
