Role Overview
- Support the firm's Healthcare Litigation Practice Group and assist with general litigation matters
- Manage discovery and maintain litigation workspaces
- Prepare materials for hearings and trials, coordinating trial logistics
- Serve as a liaison to the firm's clients
- Conduct advanced legal and factual research and draft discovery documents
- Support all phases of mediation and trial preparation
- Accurately record billable time and manage submissions of time entries
- Supervise junior paralegals and document clerks during trial preparation
Requirements
- 5+ years of paralegal experience with management of large-scale discovery processes
- Bachelor's Degree and completion of paralegal program of study preferred
- Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience with data analysis and healthcare-specific discovery
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and HIPAA rules
- Proficiency in the use of eDiscovery document review platforms, specifically Relativity
- Resiliency and capacity to manage relationships with high-expectation stakeholders.
- Proficiency in the use of legal research (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and document management systems (iManage, NetDocuments)
