Requirements
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
6+ years relevant application experience electric power systems, integration and automation, industry controls & protocols, network/communication systems
Willing to travel domestically a minimum of 30% based on focus area
Experience with configuration of SEL automation, communication products and engineering software, e.g., RTAC, Rugged Computers, DPAC, RTUs, etc.
Experience with server/client SCADA applications
Familiar with industry standard time synchronization protocols/method
IEEE1588/PTP, NTP, SNTP, IRIG, etc.
Familiar with IEC-61131-3 or any other object-oriented programming principles
Basic understanding of NERC-PRC/CIP requirements
Basic understanding of networking principles including routing, switching, IP address subnetting, firewall configuration/operation and network design and protocols such as PRP, HSR etc.
Experience with electric power transmission, substation, distribution, and/or generation systems and understanding of substation equipment and electrical switchgear.
