Role Overview
advocate and advance EEI's policy priorities with Congress and the Administration
develop and coordinate comprehensive strategies to achieve the industry's goals on relevant energy issues
coordinate with various policy teams within EEI
assist in drafting legislation, amendments and report language
participate and represent EEI in various conferences and forums
Requirements
bachelor's degree in political science or public policy or equivalent work experience
10-12 years of experience in the federal legislative and political process
established relationships with Members of Congress, Congressional staff, Administration and various outside stakeholders
strong interpersonal and communication skills
ability to manage and coordinate legislative activities
exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
travel is required to various EEI meetings and meetings with external stakeholders
