Translate recent simulation/machine learning technology into better models
Together with our product/process experts apply models to find better designs faster
Improve the chemical fidelity of our CFD Simulations
Collaborate with experimentalists to ensure that our models provide a realistic description of our products/processes
Proactively interact with other departments to initiate new projects
Requirements
Master´s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
Strong background in chemical process simulation, ideally acquired through an excellent PhD thesis in this area
Programming experience for example in Python, Matlab or C++
Expertise in CFD (reactive flows, catalytic processes, chemical reactors), ideally Open FOAM and FLUENT
Ideally background in catalysis
Fluent English language skills
Analytical thinking, problem solving, strong drive to bring numerical research into productive application
