Owns the product life cycle management from post-launch maturity (typically 6-12 months post launch) through end of life for a designated group of high-profile products.
S/he will utilize deep understanding of the business, customers, and drivers of performance to set and execute product strategy, monitor product performance, and influence bidding strategy.
Analyzes competitive landscape, market dynamics and bid history in support of strategy
Oversee product line P&Ls and manage each for growth, identifying opportunities to grow while managing costs effectively.
Evaluates strategic packaging options for product portfolio
Recommend and coordinate any product discontinuations
Strategically position and target customers in collaboration with Sales, Supply & Commercial Operations
Approve pricing on incoming bids in accordance to the pricing approval matrix
Presents bid analysis to senior management for appropriate approval
Monitor sales and contract compliance
Collaborate with Demand Planning to ensure adequate product supply; safety stock, back orders, allocation etc.
Own forecast assumptions for Finance to support quarterly Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
Develop assumptions logic
Assists on reporting of product performance drivers and trends
Provides relevant product risks and opportunity updates
Prepares product related presentations as needed for Executive Management, Sales, Customers and Partners
Leads competitive intel market assessments
Lead presentations to Senior Leadership and External Customers
Lead negotiations and presentations with CMO Partners and Vendors
Develops business visualizations and insights from various primary/secondary data sources driving action
Leads ad-hoc analysis and projects
Manages projects as required for the department

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required either in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics or a similar degree
Advanced Degree (MBA, MS etc.) preferred
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the U.S. generic pharmaceutical industry; or similar/comparable industry experience
Data analysis experience and an advanced MS Excel user is a must
Experience with pivot tables and advanced complex formulas
Power Query a plus
Business Visualizations Experience (e.g. PowerBI, Qlik, Tableua etc) a plus
Strong and proven quantitative, qualitative, analytical reasoning and communication skills
Demonstrate strategic thinking ability & able to analyze & visualize data effectively
Project Management experience
Forecasting and financial modeling knowledge experience
Strong multi-tasking and time management capability
Excellent presentation skills, must be comfortable leading a presentation
