About this role
Role Overview
You are responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of investments at the group level
You are in charge of the management, valuation, planning, analysis and reporting of investments in accordance with IFRS 9
You prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
You provide support to the 17 UNIQA subsidiaries on accounting matters related to investments
You analyze and accompany investment decisions and their balance sheet impacts
You work cross-functionally and across countries in collaboration with internal departments such as Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Controlling, Treasury, Group Accounts and Actuarial, as well as with external partners, consultants and auditors
You are responsible for internal and external reporting
You are motivated to continuously develop and implement excellent processes in the area of Investment Accounting at the group level
You produce meaningful analyses, documentation and decision-making materials as well as ad-hoc analyses for management
Requirements
Completed business education, preferably with a focus on accounting or finance, or an equivalent qualification
Profound knowledge of the capital markets and various capital market products as well as solid expertise in IFRS accounting
Several years of professional experience in investments, ideally in an insurance company, an accounting firm, or a comparable financial services provider
Proactive approach and willingness to learn, along with respectful and appreciative conduct
Team player with strong communication skills and a high level of initiative combined with numerical affinity and technical aptitude for new systems
Very good written and spoken English
