About this role
Role Overview
As a Technical Integration Manager you take overall control of the backend streams in the release process and ensure technical end-to-end integration from backend to frontend
You act as the interface between Value Trains and Knowledge Teams and are responsible for transparent, fact-based management of technical quality
Backend stream control during releases
Technical coordination of all backend components within a release
Management of technical dependencies across multiple Value Trains
Preparation of well-founded technical recommendations for release approval
Technical end-to-end integration
Ensuring the integrability of backend systems up to frontend integration
Analysis of interfaces, backward compatibility and system dependencies
Close collaboration with architecture and knowledge teams
Preventing integration breaks in the value stream context
Design and execution of technical regression tests (TOSCA)
Design and continuous development of a technical backend regression test portfolio
Automation of critical E2E backend scenarios
Coordination and execution of automated regression tests with TOSCA
Ensuring stable test environments and reproducible test results
Technical defect analysis & observability
In-depth analysis of complex backend defects across system boundaries
Root cause analysis using Dynatrace
Log and error analysis with Splunk to identify systemic causes
Assessment of technical risks for hotfixes and release decisions
Implementation of sustainable improvement measures
E2E defect reporting (across backends)
Building a consolidated end-to-end defect reporting for the entire backend landscape
Transparent presentation of defect trends, root causes and quality metrics
Technical consolidation of defects across streams
Preparation of management-ready summaries as a basis for decision-making by release committees
Requirements
Degree in IT (University/FH) or equivalent qualification
At least 5 years of experience in IT project, defect or incident management, ideally in large-scale projects (insurance experience is an advantage)
Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Java/JEE, HTTP and SQL
Experience with development, testing and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence), databases and programming languages across different infrastructure platforms
Strong analytical and technical skills with a focus on defect analysis
Structured working style, professional demeanor and strong negotiation skills
Fluent German and good English skills
