Support the business by providing strategic and hands-on legal expertise across the full contract lifecycle for procurement and construction-related activities.
Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, approval, and finalization of a wide range of supply chain contracts, including EPC-related agreements, construction contracts, supply agreements, framework agreements, service contracts, and purchase orders.
Act as the legal decision authority for procurement and construction contracts within assigned limits of authority.
Provide day-to-day legal advice to the Procurement function on contractual, commercial, and risk-related matters.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (including contract law, construction law, and where applicable international trade regulations).
Actively manage minor contractual claims and disputes with suppliers and construction providers.
Requirements
Law degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent)
7+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably within an IPP, energy company, infrastructure developer, EPC contractor, or reputable international law firm.
Demonstrated experience in a lead or senior legal role with decision-making authority.
Proven track record in contract management and negotiation for construction, procurement, and supply chain contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong experience supporting Procurement or procurement functions in complex, project-based and international environments.
Strong knowledge of construction law and commercial contracts.
Solid understanding of supply chain risks in large-scale infrastructure.
Experience with international suppliers and cross-border contracts is an advantage.
Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Admission to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction is preferred.
