About this role
Role Overview
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and components in the Defence sector
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical designs meet safety standards, functionality requirements, and project timelines
- Perform diagnostic checks and troubleshooting for electrical and electromechanical systems (e.g., power distribution, control systems, wiring harnesses)
- Carry out hands-on repair and maintenance of electrical components and systems
- Conduct engineering studies and analysis for military electrical systems
- Work with internal teams and local industry to develop local repair capability for electrical equipment
- Prepare and maintain electrical system specifications, design documents, and technical reports
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including electrical safety standards
Requirements
- Knowledge in Electrical Engineering or other relevant disciplines (e.g., Electronics, Mechatronics, Power Engineering)
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices
- Proficient in report writing and good presentation skills to stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of electrical design tools and CAD software is an advantage
- Able to interact well with internal teams and customers
- Willing to work in camp sites and comply with camp regulations
- Possess Class 3 license is an advantage
