About this role
Role Overview
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers
- Oversee all stages of highway projects from conception through completion
- Provide technical leadership in highway design
- Engage with clients, contractors, and public agencies
- Pioneer development and application of advanced engineering concepts
- Lead, mentor, and oversee team members in technical aspects
- Monitor budgets and participate in recruitment efforts
- Prepare fee proposals and contribute to business development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Member of recognised institution and working towards chartership (advantage)
- 12+ years of experience in highway design
- Extensive knowledge in highway design, including road geometry and drainage design
- Proven experience in leading a team and managing stakeholder relationships
- Proficient in design software: Civil 3D, Open Roads, Infraworks, Navisworks, PDS/Key Line and Sign, AutoCAD, ProjectWise
- Experience in liaising with clients and design teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management and strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (advantage)
