Lead the planning, design, and delivery of airport civil infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, drainage, utilities, and associated landside works
Prepare and oversee detailed engineering designs, specifications, and construction documentation
Utilize industry-standard design software, including Autodesk Civil 3D , for surface modeling, grading design, corridor development, and drawing production
Ensure compliance with Transport Canada standards, ICAO guidelines, airport authority criteria, and applicable municipal/provincial regulations
Act as a client-facing representative of TYLin, building and maintaining strong relationships with airport authorities, consultants, and stakeholders
Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, technical write-ups, fee estimates, and participation in client presentations
Support or lead project management tasks including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, electrical, mechanical, planning, environmental) to deliver integrated solutions
Provide construction-phase support, including responses to RFIs, site reviews, and design clarifications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario (required)
Approximately 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and related design tools
Strong understanding of airside geometry, grading, drainage design, pavement design principles, and utility coordination
Proven ability to manage or contribute to complex, multi-stakeholder infrastructure projects
Experience supporting or leading proposal efforts and business development initiatives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client-facing environments.
