About this role
Role Overview
- You create stable technical foundations so product teams can release quickly and safely.
- You build and continuously develop CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
- You drive the automation of build, test, and release processes.
- You containerize applications with Docker and operate them on Kubernetes, including Helm charts.
- You establish standards ("Golden Paths") for deployments and releases.
- You keep security and the software supply chain in focus and work closely with Tech Leads, development teams, and Product Management.
Requirements
- Very good knowledge of GitLab CI
- Strong experience with Docker and containerization
- Practical experience in build and release automation
- Good knowledge of Kubernetes (deployments, debugging, Helm)
- Understanding of automated testing in the CI/CD context (integration tests desirable)
- Very good German and English language skills
- Experience with deployments on Debian or Ubuntu
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
- Python and/or Bash skills for scripting and tooling
- Experience modernizing legacy systems
- Operations mindset/understanding
