Senior Platform Engineer

Assembly Software is a visionary technology company dedicated to revolutionizing the legal industry. They are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and run cloud systems that enable their engineers to ship faster and enhance customer success.

Responsibilities:

• You thrive at the intersection of code and infrastructure
• You see cloud platforms not as a destination, but as a canvas for building systems that scale, perform, and just work
• At Assembly Software, you'll join a small, high-impact engineering team responsible for the cloud platforms and internal tooling that power how our products are built, deployed, and operated
• As a senior individual contributor, you won't just maintain infrastructure — you'll design, build, and run the systems that enable our engineers to ship faster and our customers to succeed reliably
• Over time, you'll help evolve these capabilities into external-facing services that customers interact with directly
• The work spans cloud infrastructure design and automation, CI/CD pipeline development, container orchestration, observability, and security-first engineering across Azure
• You'll write real code, own production systems, and partner closely with the engineering teams who depend on what you build
• You bring several years of hands-on DevOps, platform, or cloud engineering experience — enough to have built, broken, fixed, and improved real systems at scale
• You're comfortable owning what you ship, you have strong instincts about when to move fast and when to be careful, and you know how to work effectively with AI-powered development tools without letting them do your thinking for you

Requirements:

• Several years of hands-on DevOps, platform, or cloud engineering experience
• Experience building, breaking, fixing, and improving real systems at scale
• Comfortable owning what you ship
• Strong instincts about when to move fast and when to be careful
• Ability to work effectively with AI-powered development tools
