About this role
Role Overview
- Support distribution design/engineering of projects among clients in multiple states
- Produce electric distribution field designs, stakes of distribution facilities, and project estimation
- Prepare construction prints using electronic design/estimation software
- Represent self in both M&S and clients' image while meeting with property owners, other firms, and construction resources
- Ensure adherence to client standards for developing scoping and engineering plans
- Perform distribution line design calculations using industry tools and methods
- Secure easements, right of entry requests, and permitting as needed
- Mentor and/or train other staff members
Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Possess a current Texas Drivers License with an insurable driving record.
- Associates degree or certificate in Electric Power Technology with a minimum of one (1) year experience or three (3) years prior experience with electric distribution design and estimation.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, orally and in writing.
