Handle waste shipment notifications (particularly batteries) from application through completion for all our entities
Manage and monitor transboundary waste shipments in accordance with the Basel Convention, EU regulations, and national legislation
Coordinate downstream management with disposal and recycling partners
Manage notification processes in ZEDAL, including data entry, tracking, and documentation
Organize and oversee logistics and transport for waste shipments
Support and evaluate suppliers and service providers in waste management
Regularly update on changes to the Basel Convention, EU regulations, and national waste law
Carry out and coordinate international notification procedures
Advise internal departments and customers on legal and logistical requirements
Maintain and utilize digital platforms for waste shipments
Requirements
Completed degree in environmental science, waste management, logistics, or an equivalent qualification
Experience with notification procedures and communication with authorities
Experience with ZEDAL or similar systems is an advantage
Solid knowledge of international and national waste law
Strong organizational and communication skills
Excellent written and spoken German and English; additional languages are a plus
