Consistently collaborates and provides advice to the construction/project manager and project team
Proactively identifies, handles, and resolves potential problems, work issues, or schedule challenges
Develops and implements recovery plan
Works with project team to anticipate and resolve project issues
Always ensures trade contractor coordination and progress are closely supervised
Ensures information is presented appropriately at client engineering meetings
Mentors others on their presenting style to ensure messages is being received accurately
Responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary project controls team (scheduling and planning, estimating, cost-control, subcontract, and document control)
Consistently communicates with the project teams to define scope of work, need for change to budgets and schedules, and identification of variances from the original plan
Leads the development and maintenance of resource loaded schedule, critical path analysis, resolution of scheduling issues, supervising schedule delays, impacts and variances to the baseline
Applies analysis and makes recommendations regarding the trending and communicating schedule, progress, and cost information to project personnel
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
At least 7 years of experience in project controls, with a focus on industrial construction projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in project management software and tools
