Ensure the smooth operation of Process Equipment and ancillaries in the plant in his shift
Drive all the engineering team KPI's in his shift, ensure the optimum uptime in his shift by actively attending breakdowns
Make a report / action plan for avoiding such failures in future
Ensure the utilities and process Equipment are maintained in his shift by doing proper daily and periodical maintenance — Both Planned and predictive in nature
Give inputs to engineering team and spareparts stores for planning of maintenance and spares based on the machine conditions
Attend breakdowns independently, troubleshoot electrical faults and take corrective actions in process equipment and ancillaries to achieve target of electrical downtime and breakdowns
Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, visual maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance as directed by senior officials
Follow the preventive maintenance schedule, record all readings correctly and accurately, and ensure effective utilization of tools and safety equipment
Modify electrical / PLC Programs after approvals from immediate supervisor; read machine wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams, and perform troubleshooting and fault finding
Inspect machine safeties and process stops on a periodic basis, carry out setup checks following maintenance work, and ensure all electrical installations are checked and corrected to company standards
Guide engineering team and spareparts stores manager on the requirement of spares on time to avoid breakdown and minimize machine downtime
Actively participate in company's Continuous Improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SMED, 5S, ISO) and conduct lean manufacturing activities
Work on Gas Fired equipment (Boiler, Ovens) and carry out safety checks, burner service, and airflow balancing
Comply with all legal, environmental, safety, and BRC requirements and/or checks; follow and maintain organization's SOPs and safe working practices
Maintain effective communications with seniors and fellow workmen, reporting defects, manufacturing difficulties, and ideas for improvements
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electronics
7 to 8 years' experience in a manufacturing background with advanced Allen Bradley PLC's programming and drives programming in high speed continuous manufacturing industry
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with electrical drawings and PLC programming; ability to distinguish between electrical and mechanical problems
Advanced knowledge of RS-logix500 & 5000, PV1000/1500, and VFD Allen Bradley systems
Experience with electrical equipment including motors, sensors, timers, P.I.D controllers, thermocouples, servomotors, and potentiometers
Computer literacy with ability to generate reports and read/develop engineering drawings
Knowledge of P.C.C, M.C.C, P.D.B, Transformers (H.T and L.T side), circuit breakers, and protection relays
