You develop visual approaches to stories together with the editorial team – from the initial idea to execution
You identify which aspects of a topic are suitable for visualization — and which are not
You analyze and structure data to extract story-worthy insights
You design and produce infographics for print, data-driven visualizations for our website, and, where appropriate, interactive or scroll-based formats
You contribute your own story and visualization ideas
You help establish standards and workflows for visual storytelling within the editorial team

Experience in data journalism, visual storytelling, or infographics
A strong sense of journalistic relevance and narrative structure
Ability to communicate complex content clearly and visually
Experience working with data (analysis, structuring, interpretation)
Confident use of common visualization tools (e.g., Datawrapper, Flourish, Illustrator, or similar)
Ideally, initial experience with interactive formats (e.g., simple web visualizations)
Strong communication skills: you can collaborate with editors as equals and develop ideas together
Basic knowledge of JavaScript or web technologies is a plus
