Serve as SHI’s internal control point for maintaining SHI’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
Provide leadership advice on corporate governance issues across all SHI business segments.
Monitor operational processes and procedures to ensure compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards.
Conduct compliance risk assessments to ensure policies remain compliant and business runs smoothly.
Develop and maintain corporate ethics statements, policies, and supporting forms/acknowledgements with oversight from SHI Legal.
Provide internal reviews of SHI policies to ensure consistency and integration with the organization’s ethics philosophies.
Work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the development, delivery, and administration of ethics and compliance trainings.
Conduct annual corporate governance audits with guidance from Legal and present findings to senior leadership.
Develop and maintain confidential procedures for the handling and processing of complaints and allegations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of corporate governance requirements, compliance, and reporting responsibilities, and related legal benchmarks from federal and state law.
Requirements
Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
SHRM certification preferred; or willingness to obtain SHRM certification within two years of SHI employment.
5+ years of experience in an HR role.
Understanding of HR laws and regulations
