Provides strategic and practical legal advice to assigned CVS Health business units and Human Resources partners on all relevant federal, state and local labor and employment laws
Identifies and assesses potential legal risks related to employment practices and proactively develops and implements strategies to mitigate these risks
Collaborates with HR and other stakeholders to design and deliver training programs on employment and labor law compliance, anti-discrimination policies, harassment prevention, and other relevant topics
Provides strategic and practical labor law advice concerning traditional labor relations issues and matters
Manages employment-related claims and litigation
Provides employment law support in corporate transactions, including due diligence, employee integration, and related contractual matters
Stays current with changes or developments in employment laws and regulations
Requirements
10+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department of a publicly-traded company
Active and good standing membership of a state bar or in-house counsel licensure to practice law in a corporate legal department
Proven experience managing a large docket of employment-related litigation, including numerous class/collective actions
Strong management-side traditional labor law experience
Ability to travel occasionally
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities within deadlines without significant direct supervision
Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills

Ability to contribute to confidential, collaborative, and collegial relationships with colleagues and clients
