Own the calculation and reporting of non-retail Scope 3 financed emissions metrics.
Provide guidance to data scientists in building/updating the model to align with PCAF methodology and regulatory requirements.
Verify and challenge model updates developed by the data science team.
Ensure appropriate governance exists through robust controls, documentation, and lifecycle management embedded in delivery workflows.
Lead and support audit, model validation and external assurance engagements.
Identify trends, and insights in Scope 3 financed emissions metrics to provide actionable business intelligence.
Prepare presentations, briefings and summaries for executive audience.
Requirements
University degree with minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience in Data Science, Sustainability or Finance.
Experience developing, deploying, and governing Python-based models within a regulated financial institution.
Experience managing git repositories within an agile workflow.
Ability to distill complex information into clear, digestible content for senior audiences, with strong storytelling and communication skills to influence decision-making.
Ability to manage deadlines while multi-tasking amongst different priorities.
Nice-to-have: Cloud (Azure) experience including DataBricks.
Knowledge of or familiarity with PCAF, NZBA, ISSB, OSFI B-15.
Understanding of TD's lines of business (e.g., TDS, RESL, TDAF, CBB).
Awareness of fundamental data governance and data management practices.
