About this role
Role Overview
support three Tech & Society centers: the Knight-Georgetown Institute (KGI); the Center for Digital Ethics (CDE); and the Institute for Technology Law & Policy (ITLP)
play an integral role in day-to-day functions and future planning
ensuring that each center’s operations and administrative needs are met
initiating and overseeing processes related to people operations, internal and external communications, event management, budgeting, administration, procurement, and contracts
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience in operations, finance, human resources, administration, or other relevant field
Commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB)
Patience, diligence and resourcefulness in navigating complex bureaucratic processes
Familiarity running procurement and contracting processes
Experience with basic budgeting and reconciliation of expenses
Experience in human resources management, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding and performance management
Proficiency in Google Suite products, spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), project management, and collaborative platforms; and a quick learning curve to adapt to new programs
Ability to analyze various sources of data, identify and derive key metrics, and propose solutions based on these data
Ability to manage
and be both organized and flexible
in a complex, multi-faced environment that requires continuous monitoring of priorities across three distinct centers
Exceptional communications skills, to include maintenance of confidentiality
