Plan, coordinate, and execute shipyard repair and maintenance work packages supporting the mission equipment.
Oversee planned the program’s maintenance schedules, drydock availabilities, and repair planning for the mission equipment systems.
Develop technical repair specifications and work scopes for shipyard/industrial contractors.
Provide technical oversight of subcontractors, shipyards, and service technicians performing repair and maintenance work on the mission equipment.
Coordinate closely with the Ship Operations Manager, Mechanical Lead, and Engineering leadership to identify maintenance and industrial support requirements.
Prepare repair cost estimates and technical documentation for maintenance actions.
Track and report project status, technical progress, and repair completion milestones.
Serve as the technical liaison with government engineering and port engineers.
Ensure all repair documentation, completion certificates, and project closeout records are properly maintained.
Support the MSC Transportation Alterations (TRANSALTs) process, as required.
Travel OCONUS as needed to support shipyard availabilities and project execution.
Requirements
Ability to pass a Mariner’s Physical.
Experience supporting commercial or government vessel maintenance and repair operations.
Experience coordinating shipyard maintenance periods, repair availabilities, or drydock projects.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering manuals, and system schematics.
Familiarity with maritime regulatory organizations such as ABS, USCG, or equivalent classification societies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Must have a valid US Passport.
