Overseeing the maintenance, testing, and operational readiness of electrical components within a nuclear power plant.
Ensure that electrical components are qualified in accordance with 10 CFR 50.49 and other applicable regulations.
Develop and implement maintenance programs for breakers, relays, transformers, generators, motors, and cables to ensure they remain operational and compliant with safety standards.
Conduct periodic inspections and testing to assess the condition of electrical components and identify any potential issues or degradation.
Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical components.
Participate in the design and modification of electrical systems to improve reliability and efficiency.
Ensure that all modifications are properly documented and implemented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit reports and documentation to regulatory agencies as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program or a related field
Minimum 6 years of relevant job experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power generation and distribution systems.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including breakers, relays, transformers, generators, motors, and cables.
Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as CAD and simulation software.
