About this role
Role Overview
Perform Fault Ride Through (FRT) tests on our prototypes
Set up and adapt our in-house voltage dip systems — container solution including medium-voltage connection
Conduct and evaluate power quality measurements according to international standards such as IEC 61400-21-1 or FGW TR3
Data analysis is part of the job: you identify patterns, interpret signals, and draw the right conclusions
Hands-on field work: from measurements to connecting/disconnecting and module testing — you bridge theory and practice
Adjust parameters and implement software updates to keep our systems up to date
Work in alternating mode: sometimes on-site, sometimes remote — approx. 50% travel, mainly in northern Germany (e.g., Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania)
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering (ideally with a focus on power engineering) or equivalent qualification with a strong technical background
Several years of experience in an industrial environment — wind energy, power utilities or related fields are an advantage
Familiarity with international standards and guidelines for grid integration
Practical experience in using and evaluating measurement systems, ideally with tools such as Famos
Knowledge of medium-voltage switchgear and willingness to perform associated switching operations
Excellent German and English language skills, team spirit and a hands-on mentality — you don’t mind practical work
Ability to work at heights and a valid Class B driving license
