Lead a dedicated team of analysts to perform detailed energy market modelling and long-term forecasting efforts for market prices, plant/grid operations, and plant economics
Manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines while ensuring excellent quality, consistency, and client support
Review and provide direct feedback to the team on quantitative modeling approaches and results
Communicate effectively with a diverse client base as a subject-matter expert in US wholesale power markets
Grow ICF’s business by leading interactions with potential clients and developing proposals
Mentor and develop junior staff as well as collaborate with ICF senior management on key business decisions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative-focused field. Candidates majoring in other fields must clearly demonstrate equivalent quantitative aptitude
5+ years of work experience in North American electric power sector, including market analysis, Power Flow studies and forecasting
Experience with a minimum of one of the following: ERCOT, PJM, ISO-NE, NYISO, MISO, SPP, CAISO, WECC, and SERC
Deep familiarity with market modeling approaches and tools (e.g. PROMOD, PSLF, etc.)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office
Experience independently conducting and supervising technical analysis
