Develop and execute commercial strategies to successfully launch and scale an event portfolio.
Achieve and exceed revenue targets through the sale of sponsorship packages, exhibition space, speaking opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities across energy, mining, finance, infrastructure, and government sectors.
Develop tailored commercial proposals and negotiate high-value sponsorship agreements.
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and strategic account management.
Manage and train sales executives assigned to the launch events portfolio.
Set clear KPIs, sales targets, and performance expectations for team members.
Monitor team performance and provide coaching to maximize revenue generation and deal conversion.
Ensure accurate pipeline tracking, reporting, and forecasting using the company CRM.
Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, investors, government officials, and industry leaders across the global energy and mining sectors.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Energy, Mining, or a related field.
5–8+ years of experience in B2B sales, sponsorship sales, or commercial management, ideally in events, energy, mining, or media.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Experience developing commercial strategies for new products, events, or markets.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Knowledge of African energy, mining, or investment sectors is highly desirable.
Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar.
