Inspect and evaluate damages to different types of mechanical and electronic systems, such as machinery, refrigeration systems, furnaces, conveyance systems, elevators, UPS, boilers, medical equipment, laboratory equipment, injection molding machinery, industrial plants, and a variety of other mechanical / industrial equipment.
Conduct configuration audits.
Analyze requirements and specifications to determine comparable equipment replacements.
Provide research to determine costs associated with equipment replacement (i.e., new and used).
Expected to produce 3+ page written reports regularly.
Requirements
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with over 5 years of experience in engineering design, analysis, or applications
Must reside in Chicago, Illinois
Must be willing and able to travel 30–50% of the time, sometimes at short notice but not for extended periods of time.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Computer skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
