Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis

Role Overview

• Responsible for the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
• Provide monthly analysis, reconciliation and reporting of hospital accounts
• Support month end close procedures, annual processes of the external audit
• Preparation of monthly and ad-hoc financial statements, analysis of results and variances
• Assist with queries on financial and business transaction processes and procedures
• Provide recommendations on internal control enhancements
• General tasks throughout the month including data input, communications, etc.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in accounting and financial analysis
• Undergraduate degree in finance or a related field
• Enrolment in a professional accounting designation program preferred
• Excellent knowledge of full suite of Microsoft office programs (including Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Strong aptitude for analysis of data with the ability to identify trends and recommend actions
• Meditech system experience is an asset
