About this role
Role Overview
- Perform assessments for identifying UX problems, improvements and possibilities.
- Conduct user research together with the team using different discovery methodologies to understand customer and end-user needs, behaviors and motivations and facilitate finding appropriate solutions.
- Test and validate ideas and solutions with stakeholders, users and customers continuously, to ensure that we are meeting our users' needs.
- Use agile methodologies, participate in daily scrum meetings, as well as plannings, groomings, reviews and retrospectives.
- Analyze, plan and prioritize UX activities in collaboration with a team consisting of product manager, product owner, developers, architects, quality assurance and other UX designers.
- Participate in the development, improvement and implementation of Admincontrol UX principles, guidelines and design system.
- Illustrate and present design ideas to your team with process flows and prototypes.
- Design UI elements and components consistent with our design system visual language.
- Adhere to WCAG 2.2 standards, targeting AA compliance.
- Aid in increasing design awareness and maturity by participating in company-wide presentations and workshops.
Requirements
- Higher education (minimum 3 years) in user experience design, interaction design, behavioral sciences, industrial design or similar.
- Experience may compensate for a lack of formal education in the area.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in user-centered design and methodology as well as interface design.
- Good communication and facilitation skills.
- Understanding of best practices with regard to customer interviews and user testing.
- Ability to transform customer processes and needs into consistent solutions and improvements.
- Ability to change and adapt to new demands and expectations in the role.
- Detailed understanding of team dynamics throughout software development lifecycle processes including agile & lean development.
- Ability to work in a flexible environment that values innovation.
- Norwegian language proficiency is a plus (for customer interviews and user testing).
