Serve as legal and Standards & Practices advisor for all creative materials, including scripts, graphics, and in‑show visual elements, to ensure broadcast viability.
Conduct legal review and risk assessment, including evaluating fair use issues, and provide clear, practical guidance to creative executives.
Draft and negotiate production-related agreements, including integration agreements, licensing agreements, vendor agreements, and releases.
Requirements
JD degree with exemplary academic credentials; admitted to the New York Bar
4+ years’ experience in news review and media law and/or litigation
Strong expertise in copyright, right of publicity, fair use, defamation law, contract law, intellectual property rights (as applicable to the entertainment industry), and hands-on experience working within network Standards & Practices frameworks
Experience with contract drafting and review, including talent agreements, digital distribution (including streaming), technology and content licensing, production, and services agreements
Familiarity with guild and union regulations (WGA, DGA, and SAG-AFTRA)

Exemplary legal analysis, reasoning, and negotiation skills
