About this role
Role Overview
Collaborate with private equity and corporate clients on both buy
and sell-side engagements to deliver technology due diligence, focusing on IT strategy, architecture, infrastructure, and organisational capabilities
Support the assessment of product strategy, roadmap, and functional/ feature differentiation
Develop a deep understanding of IT environments and key drivers of operational excellence
Support Managers and Senior Management by taking on project management responsibilities across M&A engagements
Contribute to the design, planning, and execution of M&A projects, including pre-deal and post-deal initiatives
Take ownership of workstreams within cross-functional project teams
Be flexible and available to support global teams on projects
Organise and participate in client meetings, assisting with the preparation and delivery of pitches and client-facing materials
Support the development and execution of BearingPoint’s firmwide M&A strategy
Gain exposure to broader M&A technology advisory work
Requirements
2-3 years of relevant and related work experience in an M&A advisor or consulting environment
Master’s or bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science with an outstanding academic record from leading universities
A good understanding of information technology including software architectural principles, IT infrastructure, SDLC
Good command of English language, with experience of delivering high-quality reports and presentations, written and spoken
Demonstrated interest in the intersection between M&A, strategy and technology
Ability to present confidently to clients and senior leadership
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Willingness to travel as required
Fluency in English (European languages desirable)
