About this role
Role Overview
Define, develop and continually refine the controls and monitoring philosophy to be applied across Zenobe BESS projects and ensure the philosophy is maintained.
Collaborate with project teams to generate engineering design documents and deliverables (drawings, specifications, points lists, etc.) to ensure all requirements are captured.
Detail control and monitoring requirements to be specified in the supplier tenders run by the procurement team.
Create and define detailed design specifications to be distributed to our chosen vendors to direct their scope of supply and ensure delivery meets our requirements.
Provide expertise in the selection and design of control, metering and monitoring solutions for projects in the pipeline.
Collaborate with Network engineers to ensure hardware architecture and system design is resilient and secure.
Coordinate SCADA requirements gathering, delivery and testing throughout project delivery
Work with our “Route to Market” providers to ensure seamless and reliable interaction with our assets management.

Requirements
Experience in the development and execution of industrial controls / PLCs / SCADA systems throughout the full project lifecycle.
Strong engineering and operational technology skills
Fluent in Microsoft office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project.
A genuine passion in clean energy and our social and environmental mission
Strong technical engineering skills – comfortable with industry standards, calculations, and specifications
Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting technical results and implications
Strong organisation skills, team player and good attention to detail
Results oriented who is not afraid to take responsibility and accountability
Ability to manage and motivate people
Desire to work in a fast moving, high pressure and entrepreneurial environment
Experience delivering control solutions for large-scale battery storage, renewable energy, or power generation projects would be advantageous.
Working knowledge of Modbus and IEC61850 would be advantageous.
Experience working on transmission connected assets / projects at voltage levels of 132kV and above and an understanding the connection requirements in relation to the Grid Code would be advantageous.
Knowledge of the UK energy landscape
