Work closely with the lawyers on the Corporate Governance team, internal clients on the TELUS Legal Services and Regulatory Affairs team, stakeholders across the organization, and external service providers across Canada and internationally.
Coordinate with our agents (including legal services providers) internationally to ensure corporate records are properly maintained and governance processes are respected
Prepare and file annual returns, extra-provincial filings, notices of change regarding directors and officers and any additional filings for all subsidiaries in multiple jurisdictions
Draft shareholder and director resolutions for matters such as election of directors, appointment of officers and share transactions for all subsidiaries
Assist lawyers with document preparation for corporate reorganizations and M&A transactions
Maintain organization charts
Respond to requests for corporate information in support of a wide variety of transactions and projects
Work closely with the lawyers on the Corporate Governance team to develop new processes and implement new technology that will continually improve the service provided
Requirements
2 to 4 years’ paralegal experience working with minute books/corporate records and registrations in a law firm or in-house
Known as someone who enjoys taking on new challenges.
Distinguished for your excellent organizational skills and your ability to work with minimal supervision and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
Valued for your ability to work in a team setting in which all team members set and exceed challenging objectives throughout the year.
Skilled in using ALF or a similar corporate management system
With a Paralegal certificate or diploma
Great-to-haves Accreditation or experience with corporate filings in other provinces of Canada or the US, in addition to your home province.
