Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based / serverless infrastructure (AWS/GCP/AZURE) for scalable deployment of SaMD solutions.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, high-quality delivery of Newel Health’s digital therapeutics and backend services.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to ensure continuous integration aligns with regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, GDPR, HIPAA).
Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using Terraform or similar tools.
Configure infrastructure policies and controls (e.g. network, access control, backup) promoting confidentiality, integrity, availability of information managed in transit and at rest.
Monitor system performance, security, and availability, with an emphasis on patient safety, data protection, and uptime.
Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution for production infrastructure issues.
Support audit readiness and documentation for MDR/CE, DiGA, and FDA-compliant deployments.
Integrate DevSecOps tools and workflows to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or site reliability engineering (SRE), ideally in health tech or a regulated environment.
Proficiency in AWS, GCP, or Azure, and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Serverless.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch).
Solid grasp of cybersecurity principles and hands-on experience with security hardening and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC2, etc.).
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and familiarity with REST APIs, databases, and microservice architecture.
Knowledge of healthcare data standards and privacy regulations is a strong plus (FHIR, HL7).
Experience with development in compliance with IEC 62304 is a plus.
Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
