Registered Nurse RN, Clinical Documentation Educator/Auditor – CCDS Required

Role Overview

• Participate in daily activities of the Clinical Documentation Department
• Facilitate documentation improvements
• Perform department audits, 2nd level reviews, orientation, training and education of CDI staff
• Support development of focused provider education
• Maintain knowledge of program metrics and support timely, accurate data reporting
• Access and identify learning needs of CDI nurses, residents, physicians, and administrative staff

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in State of GA
• Certification required
• Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS)
• Bachelors Degree
• Five (5) to ten (10) years clinical nursing experience
• Three (3) to five (5) years experience clinical documentation experience
• Preferred: Masters Degree
• Preferred: Coding experience
• Preferred: Five (5) to ten (10) years clinical nursing experience in critical care nursing
• Management experience desirable
