Own relationships with external IT service providers, managed service partners, and infrastructure vendors.
Define, negotiate, and manage SLAs and contracts to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
Oversee outsourced support operations, physical office IT setup, and infrastructure maintenance—ensuring they meet company standards for performance, security, and cost‑effectiveness.
Monitor vendor performance, ensuring proactive management of issues and risks.
Oversee the administration and lifecycle of key internal systems such as Office 365, Azure/Entra (identity and access), collaboration platforms, HR systems, and operational tools.
Automated repeatable processes using Agentic AI. Ensure that system performance, configuration, integrations, and updates are effectively maintained.
Maintain robust processes for onboarding/offboarding and identity/access management across all platforms.
Monitor system performance, implement updates, and optimize configurations to ensure smooth operation.
Manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions across all platforms, including onboarding and offboarding of staff, implementing automation and utilising AI.
Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and systems.
Serve as the operational owner of information security, driving adherence to security policies, protocols, and best practices.
Lead security monitoring, risk management, endpoint protection oversight, and incident‑response processes.
Support or act as the internal liaison for DPO responsibilities, including: GDPR compliance monitoring, Data processing documentation and DPIAs, Vendor data‑protection reviews, Ensuring policy adherence across teams.
Coordinate regular audits, penetration tests, and security assessments with internal teams and external specialists.
Lead the company InfoSec committee. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
Own the company’s backup, recovery, and continuity strategy for all business systems. Ensure that all critical systems have reliable and tested recovery procedures.
Actively participate in (or lead) the company’s InfoSec committees and governance forums.
Assess hardware needs and manage the procurement process for laptops and other IT equipment.
Configure and set up new hardware according to company standards and user requirements.
Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage the lifecycle of hardware devices.
Ensure technical support is provided to employees, resolving IT-related issues efficiently.
Develop and conduct training sessions for staff on new software or hardware implementations.
Create and maintain documentation for IT processes and user guides.
Manage purchasing, renewals, optimisation, and compliance of software licenses and subscriptions.
Evaluate new tools, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost‑effective usage across the organisation.
Stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies relevant to the company's needs. Propose and implement improvements to IT infrastructure and processes.
Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements for IT services and products.
Requirements
Proven experience (10+ years) in IT management or senior IT operations roles, ideally within a modern SaaS‑driven or multi‑office environment.
Strong background in managing external IT suppliers, MSPs, or outsourcing partners.
Hands‑on experience with cloud ecosystems such as Office 365, Azure, and Entra.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and physical office infrastructure.
Practical experience with IT security frameworks, endpoint protection, and identity management.
Familiarity with GDPR requirements, data‑processing governance, and at minimum working alongside a Data Protection Officer, or ideally acting as DPO.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, balance priorities, and drive transparent communication.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, combined with a proactive and service‑oriented approach.
Proficiency in managing cloud-based systems, particularly Office 365, Azure, and Entra.
Demonstrated ability in hardware procurement and provisioning, especially for laptops and other IT equipment.
Experience in user account management and access control across multiple platforms.
Proven track record in network administration and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with automation and scripting languages like Python or PowerShell, and the creation of AI agents, for routine task management.
Experience in implementing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Knowledge of compliance requirements and data protection regulations relevant to software development companies.
Practical experience in providing IT support and training to end-users.
Experience from supporting or leading IT integration work in connection with company acquisitions or mergers, including system alignment, identity management, vendor consolidation, and infrastructure integration.
