Lead the design and development of components and integrated systems for stringing systems and related Infravision products
Ensure functionality, reliability and Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles are embedded from concept through to production
Conduct engineering analysis and simulations including stress, thermal and finite element analysis (FEA)
Develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
Provide accurate project estimates for timeframes and development costs
Insure designs meet relevant industrial specifications and customer requirements(IEEE, ASME, etc.)
Complete HAZOP/HAZID/FMECA to verify safety, and fault-safe nature of designs
Participate in prototype builds, testing and validation activities
Write and execute test plans and procedures for development and manufacturing validation
Analyse test data and implement iterative design improvements
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for design-related issues
Collaborate closely with customers, software engineers, product managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless subsystem integration

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
8+ years’ experience in mechanical design engineering (aerospace, robotics, heavy equipment or industrial systems highly regarded)
Strong proficiency in Solidworks CAD and FEA tools
Demonstrated experience in taking products from concept through to production
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and fabrication methods
Experience working in high-risk or safety-critical environments is highly desirable
Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
