This role is responsible for delivering projects from concept through release and post-launch support and travel to other Radiodetection offices, development partners and customers will be required.
Where appropriate, work in collaboration with the development teams in order to align with stage gate milestone dates, cost estimates and outline project objectives with inputs from the skill and functional team members (Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing etc.).
Work with Project Sponsors and/or stakeholders as well as cross functional team members to create appropriate project definition documents for each project in order to frame the project scope, detailed requirements, approach, deliverables, cost, resourcing requirements, governance and schedule, including a detailed risk analysis.
Drive the cross-functional, (sometimes globally dispersed) team to meet the project plan to the agreed project deliverables, schedule and budget targets, holding regular project reviews and providing regular stakeholder updates on progress.
Manage multiple cross-departmental/functional projects in parallel with specific adherence to scope, schedule and budget. Whilst maintaining project plans and proactively identify, evaluate and mitigate potential risks, areas of delay and opportunities for improvement.
Report project status to sponsors and stakeholders on a regular basis including, but not limited to, critical issues with projects and risks for non-delivery to drive clarity of project issues.
Ensure adequate change control is consistently followed, documented & communicated for any changes to scope, priority, budget or timelines.
Lead "lessons learned" exercises and share lessons among project leads, sponsors and other teams. Ensure that lessons are acted upon where appropriate and pulled into future projects for proactive improvement
Work with the Programme Manager to standardise project planning and management tools and identifying best practices as well as improvements to the Radiodetection PMO Governance framework across the organisation.
Persistently follow up and challenge status quo on project statuses to drive ontime or early project delivery through a pragmatic approach to project delivery.
Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Extensive hands‑on experience in a complex, cross‑functional project environment
PMP/PRINCE2 certification would be an advantage
Good working knowledge of Atlassian products – Jira, Confluence
Good working knowledge of Windows applications including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
