Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline, researching and resolving variances within 30 days
Accurately reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions
Prepare monthly payroll accrual and actual payroll expense load files for the GL accounting team
Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities, ensuring timely delivery and full compliance with all statutory requirements
Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Support year-end reconciliations, compliance reviews, and other internal audit initiatives as needed

3+ years of relevant experience in payroll accounting, with exposure to both payroll operations and general ledger accounting
You're comfortable hitting the ground running in a new environment with minimal ramp-up time
You have hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms
You have a solid understanding of payroll compliance, including US federal and state requirements; Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus
You are meticulous about accuracy and take ownership of getting the details right
You are a clear communicator who can respond to cross-functional requests quickly and professionally
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; CPA or CPP designation is a plus
