Role Overview
Utilising NetSuite to manage ledgers and complete balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with month-end closing timelines
Assist in preparation of statutory accounts (IFRS / Local GAAP)
Key involvement in statutory audits for group and local entities, partnering with external auditors and ensuring compliance with audit standards and local accounting regulations
Maintain internal control standards and supporting the implementation of best practices in financial compliance
Provide financial insight to senior management and support decision-making with data-driven analysis
Drive and support accounting system and process enhancements, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains
Requirements
Recently qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) from an audit background – Big 4 or leading mid-tier practice background preferred
Strong technical accounting skills (IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP etc), confident in your knowledge, with the ability to explain and present complex financial concepts in a straightforward way.
At least 2-3 years of practical accounts production exposure
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail – ensuring all numbers in your outputs can be explained
An inquisitive mindset, displaying a deeper level of thinking and looking for solutions and new ways of working.
Comfortable taking ownership of financial control activities, showing high levels of organisation and the ability to manage workload
Highly proficient in Excel
