Perform hands-on data profiling and analysis to ensure a deep understanding of the data under governance.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to embed data governance policies and procedures into daily operations and use cases.
Lead the identification, definition, and management of changes to Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
Evaluate, document, and maintain data lineage to ensure a clear understanding of data origins, transformations, and consumption.
Drive the development, implementation, and continuous monitoring of data quality rules to ensure data integrity.
Manage the full lifecycle of data concern remediation, including identifying root causes, dispositioning issues, and monitoring fixes for data defects.
Define and maintain the boundary for the data domain, including all contributing applications, business lines, and user tools.
Align and integrate key data capabilities, including metadata repositories, data dictionaries, and business process maps with data and system process flows.
Provide clear and concise status updates on issues, risks, and solutions to management and data teams to drive decision-making.
Monitor metrics and key performance indicators associated with data quality, controls, and overall data governance effectiveness.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
5+ years of combined experience in the banking and financial services industry, with a focus on data governance, data management, or information technology.
Experience supporting analytics or pricing teams in the Credit Card Pricing and Analytics domain is preferred.
Strong, hands-on experience with data profiling and data analysis.
Proven experience with data management processes and tools, including data quality monitoring, process mapping, and data lineage toolsets.
Strong knowledge of structured and unstructured databases, data modeling, and modern data management methodologies.
A comprehensive understanding of data governance principles, policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., consent orders), and industry information affecting the business environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and provide advisory services in a complex, highly matrixed organization.
Excellent presentation skills, along with strong business and technical writing and verbal communication skills.
Experience with credit card products, pricing terms, or financial analytics is highly beneficial.
Understanding of AI governance concepts (e.g., AI Risk Classification, Bias/Fairness, Model Risk, Explainability) is a plus.
