Manage and coach KIPP Forward Counselors to ensure they achieve their goals at the highest levels
Drive professional development of direct reports through weekly check-ins, advising meeting observations and timely feedback
Monitor progress toward regional goals and individual performance goals, and proactively identify interventions
Develop structure for biweekly team meetings to foster collaboration, share best practices and address challenges
Implement and refine a structured caseload strategy to provide targeted alumni support for 9th-12th grades
Maintain and ensure accuracy of key data systems, including team progress monitoring tools and the Alumni Services database (contact information, transcripts, applications, enrollments, etc.)
Develop and execute a 9th-12th grade programming plan to enhance alumni engagement and postsecondary matriculation; collaborate with KIPP Forward Operations Associate to implement and assess programming impact
Partner with the KIPP Forward Postsecondary Success teammates to implement a strong transition plan for graduating seniors, ensuring alumni remain engaged and supported on their path toward postsecondary matriculation
Work collaboratively with other KIPP Forward leaders, as part of the KIPP Forward Leadership Team, to strengthen alignment and team culture
Co-create and facilitate monthly Match Meetings with Associate Director of High School Placement & Post Secondary Match for Senior Leaders to ensure data-driven decision-making and effective alumni support
Meet monthly with Success & Middle School leaders, respectively, to ensure collaboration and alignment
Develop and maintain relationships with leaders at feeder high schools to strengthen postsecondary outcomes for alumni at those schools
Lead strategic meetings each semester with counterparts at partner charter management organizations to exchange best practices, align on alumni support strategies, and drive regional impact
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, youth development, or equivalent professional experience.
2+ years of full-time experience in college access, student support, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of college access, persistence, and the California higher education landscape.
Experience working with historically underrepresented communities, demonstrating cultural competence and equity-driven practices.
Exceptional communication skills—clear, confident, and proactive in engaging diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across teams, schools, and community organizations.
Growth mindset with a commitment to curiosity, continuous learning, and openness to feedback.
Experience leading teams and coaching adults in student-facing roles, with a focus on development and accountability.
Track record of delivering measurable results in college access, education, or nonprofit sectors.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to execute and coordinate across internal and external partners.
