About this role
Role Overview
As a Product Owner for Underwriting Modules, lead the development and optimisation of underwriting functionalities within the insurance platform.
Translate complex underwriting requirements into prioritised tasks.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
Actively seek feedback to enhance underwriting modules and iterate on the product.
Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate technical solutions and ensure product decisions align with capabilities.
Influence the product roadmap by advocating for improvements and client-driven enhancements.
Mentor junior Product Owners on best practices in product management.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in product management, preferably within Insurtech, fintech, or specialty insurance sectors.
Strong understanding of underwriting processes in insurance, particularly in specialty lines.
Experience translating business and underwriting needs into technical requirements and user stories.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with development teams, underwriters, and business stakeholders.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks and make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in developing underwriting software or platforms.
Background in specialty insurance, such as professional liability, marine, or cyber insurance.
Understanding of risk management and regulatory requirements in specialty insurance.
